Fabric introduction of fire insulation clothing

2020-11-10

At the scene of the fire,Fire insulation clothingThe outer fabric should directly face the fire environment with high temperature and heat radiation, so it must have good thermal protection performance and certain mechanical properties. Understanding the influencing factors of these properties is of great significance to the development of outer fabrics of fire-fighting insulation clothing. This article is based on the commonly used fibers of the outer fabric of fire-fighting clothing, combined with the influencing factors of the performance of the outer fabric and thermal protection technology, to discuss the development trend of the outer fabric of the fire-fighting insulation clothing.
At present, the common outer fiber of fire protection clothing on the market is aromatic high temperature resistant fiber. These fibers have excellent high temperature resistance, good flame retardancy and certain mechanical properties. Among them, para-aramid fiber, aramid fiber, polysulfonamide fiber and PBI fiber are common. Aramid fiber is the most common fiber in the outer fabric of protective clothing in the world, and its market share is close to 70%, and there is a continuous growth trend. Aramid 1313 (m-Aramid) was first introduced to the market by DuPont under the Nomex trademark in 1967. It is the most widely used synthetic high-temperature resistant fiber in the world for thermal insulation clothing.
Polysulfone amide fiber is a high-tech fiber with independent intellectual property rights jointly developed and produced by Shanghai Academy of Textile Sciences and Shanghai Synthetic Fiber Research Institute. Polysulfone amide fiber can withstand 250. Many researchers have studied the properties of polysulfone fibers. The results show that its heat resistance, thermal stability, high temperature dimensional stability and flame retardancy are better than Nomex. Polysulfonamide fiber has high moisture regain (6.28), good air permeability, soft hand feeling, comfortable wearing, good dyeability, and has good application prospects.
In addition, para-aramid fibers and polyimide (PBI) fibers are often used in the outer layer of fire-fighting clothing due to their good flame retardant and thermal insulation properties. However, compared with meta-aramid fiber and polysulfone amide fiber, it has its inherent shortcomings: para-aramid fiber is difficult to dye and has poor light resistance.

The above is the fabric fiber of thermal insulation clothing for everyone. If you want to know more about fire fighting clothing and other knowledge, please call for consultation.
